Dr. Rain is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. A Dallas native, she graduated from Highland Park High School, then earned her BA from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. At Baylor, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency in General (Adult) Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where her peers elected her president of the Psychiatry Residency Organization. During her residency, she also was selected by the American Psychiatric Association to serve on the national APA Council on Children, Adolescents and their Families. Dr. Rain completed an additional two years of training in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program at the University of California Los Angeles. At UCLA, she served as the Chief of Psychotherapy for the fellowship program.
