INITIAL CONSULTATION

Your first session with Dr. Rain will be a consultation. During this visit, Dr. Rain will conduct a detailed interview with you to examine your history, current symptoms, and goals for treatment. For a pediatric patient, Dr. Rain will gather information from the patient, parents, other caregivers, therapists and teachers if indicated. Pediatric intakes often take 90 minutes, but can span two 60 minute sessions, depending on the complexity of the case. At the end of the evaluation, you will discuss Dr. Rain’s recommendations for the course of treatment, which may include medications, therapy, or a combination of both.

Please note that the purpose of the initial visit is to determine if Grow Mental Health & Psychiatry is a good fit for you and whether you would benefit from continuing treatment with Dr. Rain, or may benefit more from a referral to another professional. The initial consultation is not a guarantee of continued treatment.

Following Appointments

Follow up appointments range from 25-60 minutes. As with all aspects of your care, the length of appointments and the frequency with which you will meet with Dr. Rain is individually determined. However, Dr. Rain sees all patients at least once every three months.
